About this work

A hand-drawn map in pen and ink shows the historic lands of Poland-Lithuania, with place names such as Wilno, Ukraina, Kozacy and Pomorze, and rivers and coastlines rendered in fine lines. Radiating strokes emanate from the centre, and a handwritten Polish verse appears in the lower right beside the Black Sea. The work is dated 1882 and is attributed to Celina Dominikowska, held by Polona (Biblioteka Narodowa).
