About this work
A satirical illustration by Albert Levering from 1910 shows a crowd of men in top hats, bowler hats and work clothes racing across a map of the United States of America, many carrying bags labeled with money. Celestial imagery of planets, a comet and a crescent moon fills the dark sky above the map.
