About this work
A bird with a red beak and black-and-white striped head flies across the left side of the page, wings spread, toward a cluster of white flowers with yellow stamens. Thorny stems and grey-green leaves fill the right and lower portions of the image. This Japanese print, Keinen kachō gafu Pl.050 by Imao Keinen, dates to 1891 and is numbered No. 7 at the top of the page.
