About this work
A 1951 advertisement by the Dow Chemical Company shows a woman in an apron pointing toward a child wrapped in a towel beside a yellow bathtub, set against a green watercolor-like background of rippling water. The text beneath the illustration explains how softened water removes the ring left around the bathtub, and the Dow Chemicals logo appears at the lower right.
