About this work
A 1946 advertising print by the Dow Chemical Company shows a smiling woman in a pink suit and hat holding field glasses beside a man in a green suit at an optical department counter. Below the illustration, panels depict magnesium ingots, a worker at a wheel, an aircraft wing with a star insignia, and the Dow Dowmetal logo, under the headline "Magnesium, Lightest of All Structural Metals."
