About this work
A 1945 print by the Dow Chemical Company shows a hand lifting a silver ingot stamped DOWMETAL, topped with a stylized eagle whose wings sweep back in motion. Glowing yellow and lavender rings radiate behind the ingot, and body copy below describes magnesium as the metal of motion.
