About this work
A 1946 Dow Chemical Company print shows a smiling woman in a blue coat and cap carrying a white portable sewing machine, with a child holding a doll beside her. Text promotes magnesium as the lightest structural metal, and the lower panels show factories, aircraft-style fabrication, portable power tools and the Dowmetal bar.
