About this work
A stylized advertising illustration shows an oversized hand lifting a bar labeled DOW MAGNESIUM, topped with a relief eagle, above a turquoise sea. Below, a flight of airplanes crosses the sky, warships sail across the water, and palm-fringed islands line the coast. The Dow Magnesium print is dated 1943 and credited to the Dow Chemical Company.
