About this work
This 1946 print by the Dow Chemical Company shows a traditional East Asian weaving workshop with women at wooden looms and a child with an elderly woman beside them. Colorful striped fabric spills forward across the lower half, with bold threads running diagonally across the scene, while a text block and the Saran and Dow branding appear at the bottom.
