About this work
A white eagle perches on a dark, curving tree branch, its head turned sharply to the left and its yellow beak and talons rendered in warm tones. Pale sprigs of leaves hang below the branch against a muted grey ground, and a signature with a red seal appears at lower right. This woodblock-style print by Ohara Koson is dated 1910 - 1930.
