About this work
A colored costume figurine shows a young soldier, labeled as a supernumerary role, in a belted tunic, orange hose, and leather boots, holding a battle axe and a round shield. The sheet is printed for the opera Il Figlio del Mare, with music by Giuseppe Cicognani and libretto by L. Orsini and A. Beltramelli, and the scenic arrangement credited to Pipein Gamba, dated 1907-1908.
