About this work
A standing elderly woman in a grey dress, white apron and cream fringed shawl is rendered in watercolor against a muted green ground, with a folded white cloth draped over her arm. The sheet bears the title Cavalleria Rusticana and the label N.5 Mamma Nunzia, identifying it as a costume design for the 1907 production, signed by Pipein Gamba.
