About this work
A costume design for the opera Il Figlio del Mare, showing two figures in period dress: a shepherd holding a crook with a red cape and striped tunic, and a woman in a green tunic and purple leggings. The printed sheet carries the title, the librettists and composer, and the set designer Pipein Gamba, with handwritten notes identifying the roles as shepherds and townspeople (women) or extras and ballerinas.
