About this work
A color costume figurine for the opera Il Figlio del Mare, labeled as a chorus costume for the women of the people. Two women stand side by side in medieval-style dresses with veils, one in blue with embroidered red-and-gold hems and one in mauve with jeweled trim, rendered in watercolor and ink. The sheet is attributed to Pipein Gamba and dated 1907-1908.
