About this work
A full-length costume design shows a standing man in a white shirt, white trousers, and a yellow sash, with a red-banded white cap and a grey jacket slung over one shoulder. He holds a long wooden stick with a small tassel, and the figure is rendered in pencil and watercolor against a dark green background. The sheet is labeled Cavalleria Rusticana and marked N.15 Birocciaio, dated 1906, by Pipein Gamba.
