About this work
This illustrated sheet presents a stage costume design for the character Bianca from the opera Bianca Cappello, music by A. Lozzi, labeled Atto Primo and Figurino N. 8. A woman in a pale blue gown with gold and brown ornamental embroidery, a high ruffled collar, and a white fan stands in a full-length pose against a gray-blue ground. The printed cover lettering and the scenic design credit to Pipein Gamba appear beneath the figure, dated 1910.
