About this work
This Japanese woodblock print shows a temple roof with blue and green ornamental tiles in the foreground, where several figures climb and work along the ridge. Beyond the rooftops, a kite with red streamers flies over a dense townscape, with Mount Fuji rising above the clouds and the sea under a pale sky.
