About this work
This print shows a longitudinal cross-section of the auditorium of a proposed theater for Tiflis, with tiered seating, slender decorated columns, and richly patterned walls and arches. Small figures of spectators, a ticket office marked "Касса," and a statue on the stage level give a sense of scale.
