About this work
This print shows a architectural elevation of an iconostasis, the icon screen used in Eastern Orthodox churches, drawn with a central arched doorway flanked by columns. A painted figure of a winged angel with outstretched arms fills the gable above the central opening, and three lamps hang within the doorway. Ornate arcade panels with pierced tracery and circular medallions of saints extend to the right, and a scale bar runs along the bottom.
