About this work
A chromolithographic plate shows a bulbous vase with a flared neck, twisted handles, and a blue band bearing Arabic-style lettering. Circular medallions with floral and foliate motifs and a pattern of small fish decorate the surface, and a page label reads Expl. No. 147 with the collection credit Tigrane pacha au Caire. The print is attributed to Gustav Schmoranz and dated 1899.
