About this work
A chromolithographic plate shows a green glass mosque lamp with a flared neck, a bulbous body, and a splayed foot, decorated with gilded and red-outlined Arabic inscriptions and foliate ornament. Two looped handles project from the shoulders, and the plate is numbered XXVII and labelled as from the Captain W. J. Myers Collection, London. The print is attributed to Gustav Schmoranz and dated 1899.
