About this work
A decorative pictorial map of the Surrey countryside around London, drawn in dense black linework with towns, roads, woods and commons labelled throughout. A framed border carries the verse 'You say you are tired of London, you feel you are sick of town', with heraldic medallions at the corners and midpoints. The 1920 print by MacDonald Gill is a stylised, illustrative survey of the region.
