About this work
A hand-colored anatomical plate titled Aneurism of the Arch of the Aorta, from the Diseases of the Blood Vessels series, shows dissected views of the aortic arch with large aneurismal sacs and layered vessel walls. Smaller figures below display the vessels with surgical ligature threads and probes, and the work is attributed to Jean Allard Jeancon and dated 1888.
