About this work
A chromolithographic scene set in a rural landscape shows warriors with spears and a round gilded shield riding along a dirt road past a thatched house. In the foreground a bronze smith works at a stump while another casts metal over a fire, and a farmer guides an ox-drawn plough through a field. The print is titled From the Bronze Age, dated 1907, and was made by Rasmus Christiansen.
