About this work
A colored cross-section diagram of a horse-drawn fire pump on a wooden cart, with lettered parts labeled in a key at right. Two long swing arms rise and fall to drive the pistons, and arrows show the flow of water through the tank, air chamber and pressure pump to the nozzle. The print is attributed to J.F. Schreiber and dated 1870.
