About this work
A colored lithographic plate titled Luft-Pumpe shows a cross-section of a vacuum air pump with labeled cylinders, pistons, a bell jar resting on a base, and brass stopcocks. A separate panel at right depicts the Magdeburg hemispheres with a handle and valve. The plate was made by J.F.
