About this work
A hand-colored lithograph shows three men working in a glassblowing workshop, with one figure blowing through a pipe while another shapes a glass vessel at a bench and a young assistant kneels nearby. Glass bottles, flasks and blown forms hang from the vaulted ceiling and sit on shelves, with brick furnace openings on the back wall. The print is titled Glasblazer, No. 32, designed by Hendrik Jan van Lummel and dated 1841.
