About this work
A printed page from a 1559 book by Jacopo Strada shows a profile portrait of Albert I within a circular medallion framed by ornate architectural and grotesque decoration. The man wears a laurel wreath and a ribboned tie at the nape, and the Latin legend around the circle names him. A Latin inscription in the panel below describes his reign and death.
