About this work
A woodcut-style profile bust of Otto II, shown facing right in a crowned headdress with ribbon ties and a fastened cloak, set inside a circular band of Roman numerals. The page carries an ornate architectural border with grotesque figures, a Latin verse caption beneath, and the header "Effigies Othonis Secundi XIII. Germanorum Imperatoris." Attributed to Jacopo Strada, dated 1559.
