About this work
A woodcut-style print shows a bearded ruler in profile wearing a laurel-like headband and a draped mantle, framed within a circular medallion inscribed with Latin lettering. An ornate architectural border with scrolling foliage and grotesque figures surrounds the portrait, and a caption panel below carries a Latin text.
