About this work

A woodcut print shows a profile bust of a Roman emperor set within a circular medallion inscribed with his name and titles. The figure wears a draped garment fastened with a rosette brooch and a beaded headdress, and the page is framed by elaborate Renaissance-style ornament with a Latin verse below.
