About this work
An engraved profile portrait of a bearded man wearing a laurel wreath sits within a circular medallion inscribed with the name Opilius Macrinus. The medallion is set inside an ornate architectural frame with scrolled and foliate decoration, above a printed Latin caption describing the emperor.
