About this work
A black-and-white woodcut shows women in long dark coats and patterned dresses struggling against a sudden gust of wind, with hats and skirts billowing. A large stylized cloud fills the right side of the composition, and the title Le coup de vent appears in the lower right. The work is a print by Félix Vallotton dated 1894.
