About this work
A chromolithographic print shows several trotting horses pulling light two-wheeled sulkies around a dirt track, with a lead horse and driver in a green jacket and white breeches in front. Other drivers in red and brown silks follow closely, and the spokes and dust clouds convey speed. The print is titled "A sure horse for the first money" and is attributed to John Cameron, dated 1886.
