About this work
A pen-and-ink drawing shows a donkey leaping through a large hoop labeled Democratic Program, held by a top-hatted ringmaster figure. A clown figure with a crown-like hat stands at the right edge, and spectators are seen in the stands beneath striped bunting. The work is signed by William Henry Walker and dated 1913.
