About this work
A charcoal and crayon drawing shows a German figure in a spiked helmet perched on a fence, gripping a sword and rifle, while Uncle Sam watches from a doorway holding a rifle. A dollar-marked money bag and a seated man in a cape appear below, with a tag reading 'German American Citizen.' William Henry Walker made this print in 1915.
