About this work
A pen-and-ink cartoon shows Uncle Sam holding a leash attached to four customs officials drawn as snarling dogs wearing peaked caps. Beside a doghouse labeled U.S. Custom House, a passenger rides a cart loaded with a trunk and luggage while raising a hand in protest. William Henry Walker produced this print in 1906.
