About this work
A pen-and-ink cartoon shows a caricatured Uncle Sam in a top hat and military coat, rifle in hand, lunging toward a small bundled figure labeled Canada. The figure hauls a sled carrying a stone marker inscribed Boundary Monument 1825 Alaska, while a large gloved hand reaches in from the left. William Henry Walker drew the work, which is dated 1902.
