About this work
A pen and ink drawing shows a cloaked, older man in a donkey-drawn cart labeled "Presidential Mantle," with an eagle above holding a banner reading "3rd Term." A group of caricatured men in simple tunics gazes up at him with anxious or eager expressions, while a figure in the middle gestures outward toward a distant town. The work is signed and dated 1920 in the lower left corner.
