About this work
A pen-and-ink drawing by William Henry Walker, dated 1921, shows a vast crowd of elephants filling a lawn before a domed government building, with several elephant-shaped hot air balloons drifting above. A small donkey stands at the lower left, and a sign held by an elephant in the foreground reads "The Elephant Needs More Hay."
