About this work
A pen and ink drawing shows a stout, heavily dressed monarch with a ruff and necklace seated at left, legs crossed, while a long-bearded robed figure in a dark hooded gown points an admonishing finger at him from a carved chair. A table between them holds two glasses and an ornate pitcher. The work is signed and dated 1910 by William Henry Walker.
