About this work
A pen and ink political cartoon by William Henry Walker, dated 1913, titled "The country is back of you, Mr. President." A heavily armored giant labeled MONOPOLY, with a LOBBY sword and a dollar-sign skirt, confronts a small figure riding a donkey and holding a spear and a shield marked THE NEW FREEDOM, while a large crowd with banners reading NORTH, SOUTH, EAST and WEST cheers from behind.
