About this work
A pen-and-ink caricature shows a single large, robed figure formed from several clergymen's heads, each wearing a top hat labeled with a Protestant denomination such as Congregational, Presbyterian, Baptist, Lutheran, Episcopal and Methodist. The word FEDERATION is written across the figure's broad black robe, while a smaller figure labeled Unitarian stands at the right, gesturing toward it. The work is attributed to William Henry Walker and dated 1905.
