About this work
A satirical drawing shows caricatured figures labeled Beef, Rail Road, and Life Insurance hauling away a decorated Christmas tree while a bound Santa Claus lies on the floor. A family stands by the fireplace with stockings hung above, and the tree carries tags such as For Mother and 20 Year Savings. William Henry Walker produced this print in 1905.
