About this work
A pen-and-ink caricature shows a crowded assembly of seated men with name tags reading "Liar" beside a banner reading "Our Motto: You're A Liar." A judge in a tall hat strikes a gavel from a raised pulpit, while a rooster and a figure holding a fork stand nearby. This 1909 print by William Henry Walker, titled Regular meeting of the Ananias Club, is a satirical drawing on the theme of lying.
