About this work
A pen-and-ink drawing shows a bespectacled, mustached man seated on a wooden chair, gripping its arms as if about to rise. Three cowboys on rearing horses, rendered in loose hatched lines, circle above him, and one horse bears the word WEST. A handwritten slogan, "We want Teddy, another term," arcs over the scene. The work is attributed to William Henry Walker and dated 1906.
