About this work
A charcoal-style drawing shows a wolf dressed in a military uniform with an Iron Cross and sword, facing a girl in a hooded cape who carries a basket and wears a sash reading PEACE. The scene, set among trees, parallels the fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood. William Henry Walker dated the work 1917.
