About this work
A pen-and-ink drawing titled Getting into the Ark, signed by William Henry Walker and dated 1914. A bearded, caricatured figure in a dark tunic hands a small object labeled telephone and telegraph to a figure in a boat, while a crowd of small figures labeled bankers and director rushes toward a stormy sky labeled the new atmosphere. On the right, tall stylized figures in hats stand near a donkey and birds at the ark's entrance.
