About this work
A mixed-media sketch in black chalk and colored crayon shows a brown horse with a yellow-cream blanket being led by a groom in a green coat and checked trousers. Spectators in dark coats and top hats stand at right beside a red-orange building with an arched doorway, and a second horse appears at left. This 1899 work by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec is titled Le Paddock.
