About this work
A costume design sketch in gouache and watercolor shows a standing female figure with arms spread wide, wearing a heavily textured, fur-like robe with green embroidered collar and a gilded, ornamented headdress. The sleeves and hem flare dramatically, and red patterned trousers and blue slippers are visible beneath the robe.
